Привіт! Дивився нещодавно фільм “Бджоляр” 2024 року з Джейсоном Стейтемом у головній ролі. Типовий бойовик, де головний герой, він же колишній співробітник спеціальної служби, з легкістю розправляється з ворогами. Разом з цим в кіно підіймаються й серйозні теми: боротьба з кіберзлочинністю, шахрайством, нечесними політиками. Пару разів у ньому прозвучало слово “крипта”.

Мені не сподобалося, що у фільмі Девіда Еєра криптовалюту пропонує один з головних негативних персонажів. Син президентки країни займається шахрайством в мережі, вживає наркотичні засоби. Під час одного з сюжетів він намагається під'єднати до власного криптовалютного проєкту багатеньку дівчинку. Виявляється в такому світлі режисер та сценарист бачать криптовалюту. Це неприємно. Але, якщо задуматись, то вони частково мають рацію. Нові проєкти крипто нікуди не поділися. Підприємливі хлопці та дівчата запускають шахрайські схеми, “стрижуть” грошенята й цей процес не припиняється. Хтось хоче заробити на відвертому скамі, а хтось реально вірить шахраям. Не знаю, скільки блокчейнів справді є корисними, але впевнений в тому, що переважна більшість взагалі нікому не потрібна. Й саме слово “крипта” в сучасному світі має, скоріше, негативний відтінок, воно дискредитоване. Мені здається, що давно прийшов час придумати більш точні, об'єктивні назви, тим більше для Біткоїна, а не об'єднувати все під словом крипта.

Bitcoin should be separated from the concept of "cryptocurrencies"

Hello! I recently watched the movie "The Beekeeper" of 2024 with Jason Statham in the lead role. A typical action game, where the main character, aka a former employee of the special service, deals with enemies with ease. Along with this, serious topics are also raised in the cinema: the fight against cybercrime, fraud, dishonest politicians. The word "crypt" was used a couple of times in it.

I didn't like that in David Ayer's film cryptocurrency is offered by one of the main negative characters. The son of the country's president engages in online fraud and uses narcotics. During one of the plots, he tries to connect a rich little girl to his own cryptocurrency project. It turns out that the director and screenwriter see cryptocurrency in this light. It is unpleasant. But, if you think about it, they are partly right. New crypto projects have not gone anywhere. Enterprising guys and girls launch fraudulent schemes, "cut" money and this process does not stop. Someone wants to make money from a frank scam, and someone really believes in scammers. I don't know how many blockchains are really useful, but I'm sure that the vast majority are of no use at all. And the very word "crypto" in the modern world has, rather, a negative connotation, it is discredited. It seems to me that the time has long come to come up with more accurate, objective names, especially for Bitcoin, and not to combine everything under the word crypto.
