Привіт! Споконвіку матеріальні блага у світі розподілені нерівномірно й частково наслідком цього є злочинність. Нинішня злочинність дуже трансформувалася за останні десятиріччя. Сучасні злочинці використовують відповідні технології. Але залишилися й старі методи, наприклад, проникнення до чужої власності з метою заволодіння матеріальними цінностями чи цифровими активами.

Сьогодні прочитав публікацію про те, що в провінції Британська Колумбія (Канада) збільшилася кількість випадків вторгнення в житлові будинки криптовалютних інвесторів. Видання опублікувало інформацію з посиланням на пресреліз правоохоронних органів. Вже є випадок затримання. Повідомляється, що зловмисники володіють інформацією про осіб, які вкладають великі суми грошей в цифрові активи. В будинки, як правило, вдираються під виглядом кур'єрів. Далі зловмисники викрадають (не повідомляється в який спосіб) інформацію, яка надає їм доступ до криптовалют чи інших цифрових активів. Відомо, що грабіжники в такий спосіб викрали велику кількість криптовалюти. Сума не повідомляється.

Канадські правоохоронці навіть підготували список рекомендацій, які допоможуть знизити ризики. Наприклад, не ділитися інформацією про інвестиції в соціальних мережах, співпрацювати з перевіреними посередниками, надійно зберігати фінансову інформацію, як варіант, банківська комірка. А ще не варто обговорювати фінансову інформацію в публічних місцях, тим більше зі сторонніми людьми.

Всі ці події відбулися в одній країні, одній провінції з населенням понад 4 мільйонів. Раніше мені траплялися лише публікації про поодинокі грабежі та викрадення в різних частинах світу. У Ванкувері ж, за даними правоохоронних органів, проглядається налагоджена схема. Ось у що виливається незнання чи ігнорування людей правилами кібернетичної безпеки. Хоча й не варто виключати банальний “злив” інформації фінансовими організаціями, з якими постраждалі мали справу. І тут випливає важливий плюс децентралізації, коли фінансові посередники відсутні й “злити” інформацію просто немає кому. Якщо ж навіть якісь дані будуть все-таки “злиті”, наприклад, IP, електронна пошта, операційна система тощо, то з такими опосередкованими даними навряд чи хтось полізе в будинок. Скоріше, така інформація більше потрібна кіберзлочинцям. В будь-якому випадку, вся інформація про власника криптовалют важлива для злочинців і потрібно забезпечити максимальну безпеку даних. Ймовірно, що ми будемо частіше чути про випадки вторгнення в будинки криптовалютних інвесторів. Тому про безпеку, у тому числі й на Hive, потрібно задуматися саме зараз.
